The benefits of Mud masking have been known for ages, and we are all here for it. In recent years we can surely find quite a few ways to get our hands on some amazing natural products -if we are not lucky enough to pay a visit to the Dead Sea for a quick facial. Despite the many variations, the main incidents remain the same and clay skincare has become a big part of our daily skincare routine.

Clay is the key ingredient to many high-quality skincare products because it actually works. As you may have noticed you can find all kinds of different clays to profit from. From clay face masks to natural deodorants and soaps, the list can be overwhelming. Today we are going to focus on some lesser-known clay products you should definitely incorporate into your daily skincare routine, no matter your skin type.

Clay Skincare - why and how to use

Why Clay Skincare is so popular right now?

These miracle products are made from one of the many different types of clay depending on the end results we are looking for. They carry many benefits such as absorbing excess oil, managing dry skin, getting rid of toxins, and preventing acne breakouts. Pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads appear when your pores get clogged with dirt or oil. The nourishing minerals found inside clay can not only act as an amazing skin exfoliation tool, they can also travel deep into our pores to unclog them and get rid of excessive oil. Sounds awesome, right?

According to a recent study by Mohana Devi Subramaniam & In Ho Kim " Clays may have the ability to diminish the impact of mycotoxins through their binding properties". After all, we all remember Shailene Woodley raving about the benefits of ingesting clay as a part of a detoxification diet.

Ladies who want to go that extra step toward having great skin are opting to use overnight face masks. The right mask can improve a person's skin, by treating issues including acne, dark spots, redness, or dryness while a person sleeps. Nighttime is when the skin is most receptive to the active ingredients in the masks. But, do a little research to find the best product for you and your skin type.

7 Best Overnight Face Masks

When Choosing an Overnight Face Mask Look At the Ingredients

When faced with a multitude of overnight face masks, look at the ingredient lists. The most expensive product is not always the best. Renee Rouleau has more of the good ingredients and fewer of the bad ones. This is why they have somewhat of a cult following. This skincare company only sells online, so it may not make the mass-produced best product lists. But, its celebrity and other loyal users know the good results it brings.

That said, the better overnight face masks avoid some chemicals and use other better ones. The ingredients to avoid include:

1. Mineral oil and petrolatum, which may clog pores
2. Bad alcohols, such as SD alcohol 40 and denatured alcohol, which will dry skin
3. Synthetic dyes, fragrances, plastic exfoliating beads, and phthalates, which are known skin irritants
4. Sodium or ammonium laureth or lauryl sulfates and isopropyl myristate or isopropyl palmitate, which can irritate the skin or cause blackheads
Ingredients to look for in good products include:
1. Formulas that are lightweight and do not clog pores
2. High concentrations of herbal and plant-based effective and active ingredients that are cold-pressed
3. Extracts and essential oils that act as carriers and enhance the absorption and penetration of the skincare product in a safe way.
4. simple packaging and cruelty-free ingredients with no history of animal testing

Check Online For Best Product Lists

Why bother using an overnight face mask? Using a good-quality overnight face mask can have definite skin benefits. Face masks are like enhanced night creams with additional effective ingredients. Since you apply them at bedtime, they have the night to work while you are asleep. Checking best-product lists that appear on rating sites can help narrow down the choices. Also, check out new products that are getting good reviews. Seven of the best overnight face masks include:

1. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask is good for hydrating and soothing the dry and dull skin. $25.00
2. Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Facial full of natural ingredients to fade dark spots, smooth rough skin, and protect facial skin from free radicals. $48.00
3. Bliss Green Tea Wonder Clarifying Overnight Gel Mask is good for absorbing excess oil and minimizing pore size. $12.99. Bliss What a Melon De-stressing Overnight Mask. $15.99
4. Mamonde Calming Hydro Sleeping Mask, which is good for sensitive skin to reduce inflammation and redness. $25.00
5. Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is full of ingredients that hydrate skin to make it smoother and softer. $36.00

7. Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinal Sleeping Face Mask uses retinol and avocado to make skin smooth and plump. $49.00. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. $45.00

High Price is Not Always the Best

The above list of the best overnight face masks is taken from several sites to get an overall picture. There are some very good overnight face masks that cost over $100.00, but affordable is good for more people. Try an affordable overnight face mask and then go for the highly-rated, expensive choices such as Promise Keeper Blemish sleeping Facial at $120.00 or Valmont Hydration Moisturizing with a Mask at $165.00. Another good choice would be Renee Rouleau Rapid Response Detox Masque at $65.50.

We put our hair through a lot. In the shower, we often use harsh shampoos and conditioners and then reach for a hairdryer and other heat tools to dry and style our hair. This is all not even touching on the other potentially drying or harmful products many use on a daily basis, including gels, pomades, and more.

Thankfully, there are a few simple steps that you can take to start eliminating this unnecessary stress on your hair. To begin, take a close look at the products you reach for in the shower.
tips for long healthy hair

Read your labels

You may think that your current shampoo or conditioner is good enough and gets the job done, but if you are trying to improve the health of your hair it could be helpful to actually take a look at those ingredient labels.

Here are a few specific ingredients that those who care about their hair health should avoid:

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
  • Parabens
  • Triclosan
  • Propylene glycol
  • Diethanolamine (DEA)
  • Mineral oil

Why are these ingredients bad? The answer to this question depends on the specific ingredient. For some of them, such as triclosan, DEA, mineral oil, and parabens, there are concerns surrounding potential health risks. For others, including SLS and propylene glycol, the concern centers more around the tendency for these ingredients to irritate the scalp and dry out your hair.

Simply reading the ingredient labels on products you consistently use, like shampoo and conditioner, allows you to identify these harmful ingredients and subsequently remove products that contain them from your hair care routine. If you do end up discontinuing the use of your shampoo and conditioner, there are several great alternative options available. Solidu shampoo and conditioner bars are great environmentally friendly options that are also free from the above mentioned harmful ingredients. They have several formulations to target different hair care needs, such as this rosemary and mint shampoo bar for oily hair.

Avoid heat styling

Yes, it is common advice to stop constantly using heat styling tools on your hair. But it is not without good reason. Hairdryers, straighteners, and curling irons are staples in many of our beauty routines, but that doesn’t change the fact that they can dry out your hair, contribute to split ends, and ruin your natural curl pattern.

While these tools are certainly convenient and can help speed up the process of getting ready for the day, they do more harm than good. If it feels like asking too much to completely quit using your favorite heat styling tools, then a solid step would be to simply reduce the number of times per week that you use them. For example, if you typically blow dry your hair every morning and then pick up a curling iron to complete your look, maybe you could skip the curling iron three out of the seven days per week. While this doesn’t completely eliminate the potential for heat damage, it does reduce it.

Work with your natural hair

Whether you naturally have straight hair, waves, curls, coils, or fall somewhere in between, everyone can benefit from embracing styles that lend themselves to their natural hair pattern.

Investing in quality leave-in products to comb or scrunch through your hair after you shower can help keep the temptation for reaching for heat styling tools at bay. Gels, pomades, and leave-in conditioners can all help tame and style your hair while avoiding the harsh effects of heat.

However, while you are researching which products you should use for this purpose be sure to keep an eye on the ingredient list. Just like shampoos and conditioners, other hair products can also contain the aforementioned harmful ingredients. Especially when checking out holding products like gel or pomade, be sure to avoid any harsh alcohols that could dehydrate your hair and leave it dry and brittle.

To sum it all up

Remembering to read ingredient labels, avoid heat styling tools, and reach for various leave-in products are each small steps that you can take to improve the condition of your hair. Hopefully, these ideas can give you a starting point for moving toward your hair goals, and inspire you to look into even more options to optimize your hair’s health!

During 2000's, press-on nails were lacking variety, mostly limited to the usual square French manicures with tiny bits of glitter or floral designs — No wonder why most of us avoided them. Fast forward to 2020 this certainly isn't the case anymore. The variety has expanded to include coffin, stiletto, and almond styles in a great selection of colors with a glossy or matte finish, from rainbow to crystal-covered and more. Have you been thinking of getting custom fit, reusable nail sets to achieve the perfect luxury look without going back to the salon for touch-ups and fills? This one might be for you.

Alisha A. Robertson, the owner and founder of SpaLisha loves nail art so much that she makes her own." I loved getting long nails with beautiful designs, but it took time and I would spend so much money on my nails every two weeks. I wanted to try and do it on my own. That’s where it all started. I love to create magic doing nails.", she explained."The best part is seeing the finished product and to see my clients face as they stare at their beautiful nails. I’ve always had a passion for all things beauty. I enjoy creating art."

How to stay on top of all the new nail trends

Alisha uses gold foil, crystals  and other materials to create her luxury instant manicures for Maryland-based brand SpaLisha. The styles come in short, medium, or long lengths and are available in four different shapes, coffin, square, almond and stiletto. Each set is available in many shape variations, lengths, and finishes. Many of her designs include AB or clear crystals, ideal for everyone who loves a little drama. The line offers beautiful ombre, chrome, and animal print, exactly what you need to look chic and make a statement.

The beauty of having a custom, handmade set of press-on nails.

There is always the option to craft the press on nail set of your dreams. The possibilities are endless when it comes to color combinations, lengths, and styles. You only need to add some extra crystals and ascents? Go for it!. I am not the one to often talk about haircare and beauty but this is probably the most aksed question on my social media: "How did you manage to grow your hair so quickly?" . You might not remember but in 2016 I cut my hair short ( neck length to be precise ). There wasn't a particular reason other than the fact that I really grew tired of having long hair. The constant styling, straightening and of cousre frizzing became too much to handle on a daily basis.

I really loved my short hair to be honest but as time was passing by I decided to let them grow longer once again and maybe test how fast my hair can grow during a year. It's 2018 and I have to admit that surely I didn't expect that much growth . Slip ends is something I will always have no matter how short or long my hair is. As  mentioned above I might got rid of more than 25 cm of hair but on the second day split ends appeared once again. Now that we are all familiar with my hair story let's dive right into the details:
tips on how to grow your hair naturally
1. I completely stopped using the blow dryer

Even though I was sure from the begining that I wouldn't be able to stay away from my hair straightener , the blow dryer was way easier to get rid of. From day one I started to let my hair dry completly on their own without any hitting tools. Yes, it might takes a little longer but the results definitely overcome the hustle.

2. I started to apply olive oil 2 hours before washing my hair

Pinterest came in to save the day once again. I dicovered the properties of olive oil and since then I religiously use it before every hair wash. It is definitely needs time to rinse off the oil from your hair but it is the best natural hair mask I have ever tried.

3. I do the "hot oil treatment" and spray castor oil .

After every wash and as soon as my hair is dry I spray a mix of castor oil and hot water on my hair avoiding the roots. There are a few great products available online but I always prefer to DIY it at home.
Once a week I mix my favorite oils (castor, cocunut and jojoba oils) in a small jar then deep it in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes and then apply it on my hair. I wrap a hot towel around my hair and wait for 30 mins before washing it off.

Watch the Before and After of my hair .

4. I use Honey and olive oil as a hair mask

Twice a month I mix organic honey with olive oil in a bowl, I microwave it for a few seconds and then apply it on my hair for 30 mins before washing it off . It does take extra time since honey is very sticky but it definily leaves my hair silky and smooth.

5. I never sleep with my hair down and always use a silk pillowcase.

I always sleep with my hair up on a loose pony tail or a braid to prevent any extra breakage. I started using silk pillowcases almost 2 years ago and since then I never looked back. Cotton tends to absord the moisture of my hair and it took me a while to realise.

6. My new vegan hair growth mask.

Two weeks ago I was introduced to Pump haircare and their great variety of proffesional , cruelty free haircare products. This particular mask with Organic Jamaican Black castor oil, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract ,Argan, Lavender, Jojoba Oil to name a few of the ingredients , is a wonderful add to my natural haircare routine. I use it once a week as a conditioner but you can also leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning for an intentense treatment. I encourage you to read all the honest reviews of this brand on Trustpilot , Beauty Heaven and any other online review sites.

In the ever-changing world of fashion and beauty trends, it can sometimes feel like everything has already been done before – and for good reason. Just ask your grandmother: plenty of old school styles are still extremely popular.

Here are seven exciting beauty trends from the past that you might recognize today.

1. Bob Cuts

That short, cute bob haircut you just saw on your favorite celebrity may seem quite daring, but it’s actually a trend that started roughly in the 1920s. This shaggy, short cut was often paired with pinned curls. However, the modern option is styled with beach waves for a more tousled, fresh out of bed look.

2. Red Lips

Bright red lipstick has been a timeless trend since the 1940s war era, when women used it to make a strong, bold beauty statement. In more recent years we’ve seen countless celebrities wearing bright red lipstick with precise, contoured edges. You can achieve the same look with concealer and lip liner.
3. Edgy Brows

The bold brows you see in the beauty world today are nothing new. In the 1980s, bolder brows were a huge trend (remember Brooke Shields?). It seems that the look has made a comeback, with many today women undergoing microblading treatments to make their brows appear thicker and perfectly drawn.
4. Liner Wings

A very iconic look that still turns heads is the winged liner, or cat eyeliner style. This trend started in the 1960s with icons like Twiggy and Audrey Hepburn. Nowadays, the winged liner is a classy style that many women use to make their eyes and eyelashes pop. It might seem difficult to achieve for those at home, but practice makes perfect. You can even use tape to help you get a clean line on the corner of your eyes.

5. Feathery Locks

The fashion icons of the 70s were all about hair. This means that the feathery curls of Farrah Fawcett’s day are still a huge hit. These curly locks are easy to achieve now with just a little hairspray and some teasing. The ladies of the 70s knew how to achieve these voluminous curls, and many of the same hairstyling techniques that were used then are still common in modern-day salons.
6. Colorful Shadow

The 80s were a time for bold lids with bold colors, and to an extent, this trend has been hanging around since. Along with the extremely bright hues that were common in those years, many beauty icons are now incorporating a great blend of greens, purples, and blues to their shadows. Some are even taking their eyeshadow up a notch with more fiery palettes, blending in bright reds and oranges.

7. Half-Moon Manicures

We’re taking it back to the 1920s and 1930s with this manicure option. Ladies still favor this approach because it’s a simple and elegant way to brighten the nails on a regular basis. The half-moon manicures of today are somewhat bolder, though, using striking hues of polish to make the nail stand out. Some even combine colors to create a unique twist on this classic manicure design. For those who prefer a simpler style, use white polish for the tip and leave the rest of the nail clear.
Korean skincare review for acne
The all-natural skincare routine

I have been battling against acne since 2016 and even though there have been more than a few times I thought I finally got rid of this constant struggle it always manages to come back over and over again. I have seen and heard so many stories of severe acne problems that people face for years and years. I can't wrap my mind around why acne is still such a big taboo these days. There are plenty of reasons why people get acne. For me, it was a combination of hormonal imbalances along with a very high in dairy diet. It took me more than a while to finally realize the cause of my problem, basically ignored all the signals, and by the time I did saw the problem for what it truly was, my face had more than a few scars and dark spots.

The biggest problem I had to face was not the breakouts, it was the scaring that didn't fade or go away. I learned that one of the main causes of skin scaring is lack of Vitamin E and C which are also responsible for healing wounds and scars. My diet is now very much improved and even though I still don't get as many vitamins as I should the results are very noticeable. I previously mentioned the ways I cope with my new breakouts on a previous post, the benefits of tea tree oil, rose water, etc and to this day I swear by them. Tea tree oil was a savior this summer along with my determination not to wear makeup on a daily basis (it's just SO hot here in Greece) and I can feel the damage on my skin!

My new daily skincare routine, based on Korean products, is exactly what my skin needed from the beginning. I have been using them every day for a week now and the results are mindblowing. I did a ton of research before placing my order so I could find the right ingredients for my acne-prone skin. Scroll down for a list to learn more.

1. Cleanser
Fresh Green Tea Foam Cleanser 150ml / $14,31

Every morning as soon as I wake up and every night before bed I clean my face with a foam cleanser. I do prefer this type of cleanser rather than the gel ones, my skin feels significantly cleaner with just a small amount of product. I recently switched from my La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Wash to Nature Republic Green Tea simply cause even though the previous product did a great job I wasn't really seeing any difference in my skin texture. The Green Tea cleanser leaves my skin super smooth and moisturized and unlike many other foam cleansers, it doesn't break me out. But why this particular product is so good for acne-prone skin?

The ingredients: Green tea water, seawater, soybean oil, licorice extract, Centella Asiatica extract, chamomile flower extract, Portulaca Oleracea extract.

Green tea can treat hormonal acne by reducing the levels of potent sex hormones. While green tea may not be a miracle solution, it's definitely a big step towards clear skin. Most of the polyphenols in green tea are catechins. Catechins, which are antioxidants by nature, have also been shown to function as anti-inflammatory and anticancer agents.

2. Toner (morning)
Snail Bee High Content Skin 150ml / $17

Let's be honest, toners weren't a part of my everyday skincare routine till a year ago. I have learned the importance of using an all-natural toner by actually seeing the results these products can have on your skin if you use them religiously. The ingredients in this particular toner were recommended to me by many experts and friends that face the same skin problems for way longer than I have. The reason is no other than their ability to treat the damaged areas of my face. Why is this toner a miracle for acne scars?

The Ingredients: Snail Secretion Filtrate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Human Ogliopeptide-1, Bee Venom, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Plantago Asiatica Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Ulmus Campetris (Elm) Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Athaea Rosea Root Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Betaine, Bacillus Ferment, Panthenol, Beta-Glucan, Allantoin, Azelaic Acid, Adenosine

This toner contains Snail secretion, Bee Venom (among others) that are practically the Holy Grail of a scar-free skin. Snail Secretion Filtrate works on scarring by softening and dissolving existing scar lesions and damaged tissues, as well as rebuilding collagen and elastin back up to levels that existed before the scars took effect. Bee Venom is anaphylactic, so it can temporarily relax your facial muscles, break down cell membranes, and improve circulation, which can create a tighter and smoother complexion. It can also plump out and firm your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

3. Toner (night)
Fresh Herb Calendula Tincture Toner  (Renewed)/ $19

This second tone was something I couldn't wait to try as soon as I decided to jump on the Korean Skin Care train. This product offers my face the moisture that so desperately needs (I have dry skin at the moment). Why is this toner my favorite way to battle my dry skin?

The ingredients: Calendula officinalis, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Calendula Officinalis flower extract, calendula Officinalis extract, hedera helix leaf/ stem extract, hedera helix extract, Arctium lappa root extract, Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, Malt Extract, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Flower Extract, Convallaria Majalis Bulb/ Root Extract, Magnolia Liliflora Flower Extract, Lilium Candidum Flower Extract, Ipomoea Purpurea Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Lactococcus/leuconostoc/lactobacillus/zygosaccharomyces/ milk Ferment, Citrus aurantium bergamia, Maltodextrin, Benzophenone-5, Sodium Metabisulfite, Arginine, Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Water, Tocopheryl Acetate, Protease, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydrolyzed collagen, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA

Drink More Water
For those of us who have real trouble
remembering to drink water daily

F or those of you who are consistent with the amount of water your body receives every day , great! You are definitely on the right track. But for all of us who tend to forget or neglect the importance of water in our lives I found a few easy tricks that helped me tremendously over the last year. Replace every drink you have with water (well, not coffee, at least for me). Personally I am not a big fun of drinks like Coca Cola, Pepsi etc. so the only drinks I really had to replace was iced-tea and boxed juices. As soon as you cut out all the unnecessary drinks, especially the ones that contain too much sugar.

Download an app that reminds you to drink water every few hours. Now that's something that really helped me the first few months. I simply cannot remember to stop what I am doing in order to have a glass of water (most often on the months of winter when I don't really feel any kind of thirst). I use the app Water "Drink Reminder" (for Android) but you can find some amazing ones for IOS as well like "Daily Water".

Add flavor to your water. This is something I mostly do in the morning. I add a few drops of lemon juice or a slice of lime to my fist bottle of water. Lemon helps with digestion and re hydration and lime is known to be rich in vitamin C.

Always order a glass of water with your meal, coffee, drinks etc. I found out that it really makes it easier for me if I constantly see a glass of water siting next to my drink or plate.

Tips for a healthier body & skin for 2018

Battle acne naturally
Diet changes and tricks that helped me get a clearer skin

I started getting my fist breakouts about 3 years ago (possibly after taking the next day pill ) and even though at first I thought that these break outs will literally never stop the situation is way better this year. I have always been against taking acne pills (I know that they helped tremendously many people with severe problems but just couldn't bring myself to do it) and this was the main reason I slowly started cutting things out of my diet so I can see what ingredients and foods made my acne problem worst. I spotted a great difference after reducing dairy products (everything but Greece cheese). Something that immediately gave me results as well is adding a portion of lettuce to my every meal, which was really hard because I never really ate any kind of salad before ( don't judge!).

As I have never taken any kind of acne pills I had to find something else to help me with my breakouts. Surprisingly the second natural treatment I actually tasted worked miracles for me. The only products I use are rose water, tea tree oil and almond oil. If I hadn't met @alexandrapotora and her amazing instagram videos I would probably still face constant breakouts I used to. Teat tree oil (which is perfect to fight acne bacteria) to be exact managed to reduce my acne scars in just 2 weeks time. Here is a link to her video, If you have an acne problem try these few steps, you have literally nothing to lose .

Gym VS Outdoors
Truth is I hate going to the gym

After stating this unpopular opinion lets talk about some personal facts. I find the feeling of being in a room with 200 more people, especially when I am working out , pretty unpleasant. I am more concerned about improving my cardio, maintaining a healthy weight, managing my blood pressure and improving my balance rather than with having abs. That's the main reason I prefer walking and running on a daily bases. Find the type of exercise that works best for yourself and for your own needs without being taken away by the current trends.

Quick hair care tips for summer / what I use after a day at the beach

As you probably already know by now I tend to spend an enormous time at the beach every summer. Weather I go swimming or enjoying a cold cup of coffee near the sea , heat is the number one turn down for my hair. The temperature often rises to almost 40 degrees during the day , the sun is shining bright and as much as I love to take a dive at the sea every 10mins to brush off all that heat my hair always feel extremely damaged and over all dead after a long day like this.

I have never been a big hair care enthusiast but as I grow older the damage became pretty obvious and frankly, it seemed like no matter what I was doing my hair felt more and more dry by the day. When I got into the whole "taking care of my hair during summer" process I was overwhelmed by the amount of products out there. I made so many failed attempts to find the top products that will work for my hair type and offer that glow and protection I so desperately needed.

After almost two years of constant research (and many failed tests) I finally came across the right combination for me .only to quickly realize that 'quantity over quality' is a real thing. I didn't need three different shampoos, hair masks, oils, sprays . I simply needed a few well selected products (and tricks) to get through the hot summer weather without adding any extra weight to my already damaged hair.

  • Hair care products I use during summer

I fell in love with the whole Schwarzkopf GLISS series of products as soon as I tried the Gliss Liquid Silk Shampoo ,which of course even thought it didn't work for me at that time  , it made me aware of the whole "hair repair" range of products they currently offer. My go to shampoo is the Schwarzkopf GLISS Hair Repair Shampoo  (3x liquid keratin). It not only worked miracles on my hair from the first time I applied it on but also the smell of it is simply addicting (and extremely long lasting). A few weeks after that I tried another hair care product from the same range which also took me by surprise.

The Schwarzkopf GLISS Total Repair Reflex-Shine-Deep-Conditioner and Ultimate Repair Express Repair Conditioner is a leave on conditioners I apply as soon as I get off the shower , again with the same captivating smell as the shampoo I previously mentioned but this time it also leaves a shimmer look on my hair (and hands) that lasts more than 24 hours.

The Pantene pro-v corpo and volume is the newest addition to my hair care routine during summer. It definitely does exactly what it promises on the packaging and a lot more. I always apply a small amount at the bottom part of my hair, leave it on for 3-5 mins and wash it off with cold water (then proceed with the Schwarzkopf GLISS Total Repair Reflex-Shine-Deep-Conditioner I mentioned earlier). The moisture is definitely there.

  • Sleeping habits /tricks

The first trick that blew my mind as soon as I tried it a few months ago is always using a satin pillow case ( find it here for under 10€ ). This type of fabric can do wonders for both our hair and skin since since it helps tremendously to prevent hair from loosing all their natural moisture that normal pillow cases suck out every night.

Another trick I swear by is sleeping with your hair wrapped up in a ponytail . This easy trick can prevent our hair from constantly rubbing against the pillow case and seats plus there is no more tangling when you wake up in the morning. Just make sure not to wrap your hair too tight.

  • Moisturize, moisturize and moisturize

This is a trick that literally changed the way my hair looks daily during the  summer months. I always remember to carry around in my bag a small spray bottle filled with water  ( find it here ) in order to spray it on my hair while I am out , under the bright summer sun. We constantly try to keep our body and skin moisturized at all times but we frequently forget that our hair need the exact same treatment. Your hair will immediately absorb the sprayed water that will give back their natural glow and softness.
